It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days. Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago.

It's amazing that guitar and bass can produce such immersive, wintry soundscapes. The field recordings sprinkled throughout are the crowning touch. Music this deep goes beyond fleeting emotions (happy, sad, etc.), but overall despite its great gravity, it's curiously uplifting.
