this garden grows in silence behind these walls each petal holds a shattered heart this garden grows in silence behind these walls each thorn reflects a broken dream

She lifts her body from the floor She's played their game far too long A fire in her mind The thread of forgiveness burned away Pervasive ignorance Weighs heavily on her heart The willfully blind Enrage her When did the means become the end? When did silence infect their heart? Decisions made, hope abandoned And limitations consume them Her catacomb breath reflects The stillness of the moon She opens her eyes She breaks her chains She fills the air with the sound of her wings No longer bound She still believes She fills the air with the sound of her wings Her soul unfettered Becomes the light She fills the air with the sound of her wings It has begun She has become She fills the air with the sound of her wings They try to bind her She will not break

Carcosa 04:10
Along the shore the cloud waves break, The twin suns sink beneath the lake, The shadows lengthen In Carcosa. Strange is the night where black stars rise, And strange moons circle through the skies But stranger still is Lost Carcosa. Songs that the Hyades shall sing, Where flap the tatters of the King, Must die unheard in Dim Carcosa. Song of my soul, my voice is dead; Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed Shall dry and die in Lost Carcosa.
4.
She drifts silently across the floor An unseen purpose in her eyes She glides between the lies with the weight of memory All their words cannot reach her now Some try to touch her, some recoil in fear But their words cannot reach her here She's been coming here since she was still alive Even then she never quite belonged She's on the outside, the fringes of the freaks Decades pass and some things never change She never asks for more, content with who she is Jealosy cannot reach her here All of the anger, all of the love None of this can ever reach her here Like a fog she dissipates, leaving with the dawn All their words cannot reach her now Lingering memories, mistaken for desire All their words cannot reach her now All of the anger, all of the love None of this will ever reach her here

Desert Sun 07:00
The desert sun is my companion Though I have no destination Expansive cruelty I must endure Holding on even as I fall I'm not the man I was when this began I've lost sight of the horizon One by one The pieces fall And the remanants are forged anew A thousand days A thousand years Time means nothing to me Another step Can I go on? Is it too late to turn back? I can't remember How this began I don't know if this will end This metamorphosis Keeps driving me I need to know what I'll become The desert sun Leaves me abandoned Even obsession sometimes sets I still walk on Through the bitter night For me there is no turning back I shed my memories I shed my past I embrace the change that comes I learn the lessons that the Desert taught I stretch my arms out and touch the sky
