about

This final Bandcamp Friday exclusive is a song I used to play live a lot, but was never 100% on how it sounded. When I was writing In The Shadow Of The Monolith, I found that it didn't quite fit, and lyrically, my song "Forgiveness" hits a lot of the same themes. So while this is falling to the wayside in the way of a lot of songs I've written, I did want to get it to the best it could be and share it with everyone!

lyrics

Squandered every chance that I had
There is no turning back
I know that I'm to blame
I draw the curtains shut
the ritual begins
I look inside to see
Where it all went wrong (2x)

Moments coalesce as I scry into the past
The mirror shows me places I once knew
Words lashed out in anger
That can't be taken back
I look inside to see
Where it all went wrong

hold myself accountable
for all the things I've said
I'll pay for my mistakes
But I need to understand
I can't repeat the past
I look inside to see
Where it all went wrong
